At its Annual Breakfast meeting held on March 17th, the Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce bestowed its Business of the Year award on Discover Sunriver Vacation Rentals.

According to Chamber President and CEO Dennis Smeage, who presented the award, the long-time Sunriver vacation rental company has earned the AAA Three Diamond Award for providing the highest level of quality service to its customers. The company is also noted for its involvement in the Sunriver community and its work behind the scenes in promoting and enhancing the vacation rental industry locally and regionally, Smeage said.

“Over the years, Discover Sunriver Vacation Rentals and its owner, Larry Browning, have actively supported the Sunriver Music Festival, Three Rivers Care for Kids Foundation, Sunriver Sunfest, Chili Cookoff, Exotic Care Show, and other local organizations and events,” noted Smeage in his presentation. “Its active participation in the Central Oregon Visitors Association and the Oregon Lodging Association has helped Sunriver maintain its important position in the tourism marketing of Central Oregon.”

The company has also been instrumental in attracting the highly successful Pacific Crest Sports Festival to Sunriver as an annual event in June, as well as a series of USTA championship tennis tournaments in June, August and September.
